Jennifer Allum (violin) specialises in experimental and improvised music. Since 2005 Jennifer has attended Eddie Prévost’s weekly improvisation workshop. Through and around the workshop musical relationships have been formed with the likes of Eddie Prévost, Ross Lambert, Grundik Kasyansky and Ute Kanngiesser. While studying as a postgraduate at Goldsmiths College, University of London, Jennifer established the Post Quartet; a string quartet dedicated to music post-1945 with a special focus on the post Scratch Orchestra generation of composers. With the quartet she has worked with composers such as Christian Wolff, Michael Parsons, Tom Johnson and Michael Pisaro. Jennifer can be heard on two recordings; Workshop Concert and Penumbrae, both on Matchless Recordings. She also has a forthcoming duo cd with Ute Kanngiesser. www.jenniferallum.info
